The Second ARFRO Get-together for 2018 was held at SLEME Officers Mess   

Second Get - together of ARFRO for 2018 was organised at the Regimental Officers Mess of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers of the Sri Lanka Army. located at Slave Island. on the 08th Dec 2018.

Commander of the Army Lt Gen Mahesh Senanayake graced the occasion as the Chief Guest along with his charming lady Madam Chandrika. Many members of ARFRO including retired service commanders and their ladies and relatives added colour to the event. President of the OPA (Organisation of Professional Associations) , Engr Nissanka Perera was a special invitee for the occasion who added value along with many distinguished guests .

The get-together , which was a gathering of well over 100 persons was well organised by ARFRO. Assistance extended by the Sri Lanka Army under directions of the Commander of the Army is immensely valued The support and assistance extended by the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of SLEME and the Mess Staff of Regimental Officers Mess (SLEME) is highly Tombola session conducted during the get-together was the attraction of the day.

ARFRO was able to get sponsorships from many service providers which were utilised to offer as prizes for Tombola Winners. ARFRO takes this opportunity, on behalf the membership, to pay their sincere gratitude to all the sponsors who extended assistance and supports in numerous ways to make this event a success.

Finally, ARFRO would like to express its sincere appreciation to the Army Band who provided music and number of dancing performances to add beauty to the event, which was enjoyed by all present. After about 4 hours of superb and fantastic enjoyment sharing joy and happiness, enhancing and refreshing the rapport and networking among the members, the get-together adjourned around midnight The Committee appointed to organise this Get-together was headed by Maj Gen Sumith Padumadasa
