ARFRO successfully launched its first guest lecture for 2025 on 26th March, featuring an insightful session titled “Victory Sans Dividends: Sri Lanka’s Triumph Over Terrorism and the Unfinished Journey” delivered by Major General G. V. D. U. A. Perera (Rtd) RWP RSP VSV USP.
The event witnessed an impressive turnout of approximately 115 attendees, including ARFRO members, serving officers, and officers under training. The thought-provoking lecture delved into the complexities of post-war Sri Lanka, exploring why military success did not seamlessly translate into lasting peace and development.
This lecture tackled a unique and dynamic subject that sparked significant interest. The engaging discourse was further enriched by an interactive Q&A session, where a wide range of thought-provoking questions highlighted the audience’s keen engagement.
