The second get-together of ARFRO members for the year 2024 took place at the Western Naval Command Wardroom (SLNS Rangalla) on 27th July 2024. This special evening was highlighted by the esteemed presence of several past Commanders and Past Presidents of ARFRO, adding a touch of significance and nostalgia to the event.
As the evening unfolded, it quickly became a delightful blend of fun and laughter. The Navy band, accompanied by their talented dancing troupes, created a vibrant atmosphere that encouraged everyone to sing, dance, and fully enjoy the night. Their performance truly set the tone for an evening of memorable entertainment.
The night was further enhanced by the generous servings of the "cup that cheers" and a delicious dinner expertly prepared by the Navy chefs. This culinary delight ensured that no one experienced a moment of boredom.
A highlight of the evening was the lively game of our usual tombola, which, along with an impressive array of ‘take-home’ prizes, guaranteed that everyone felt it was an evening well spent and not to be missed. The camaraderie, joy, and shared moments made this get-together an event to remember and a testament to the strong bonds within the ARFRO community.
